Ayo,
It's in the deafening silence of space,
You hear your soul echo,
A faint voice from the past hoping to impart its wisdom,
Materialism hadn't translated into what I hoped,
But yet I still seek validation in things...
So I made a route and opted to become that feather in November,
Allowed myself to go where the wind takes,
For today I will bend to whichever place I visit shapes,
Journeyman communicate directly with the horizon,
A breeze seems misguided,
unless you're burnt asunder,
storms don't seem as angry when you’re hit with a drought,
a volcano may seem violent to those who repress,
Basically...
Don't push your feelings down,
The fact is,
Nature is incapable of evil...
I hope to one day tap into a realm of clear consciousness
And while isolated from my comfort zone,
I briefly thought I heard the music...
It's the blinding sun that showed me purpose,
Clouded skies rained lessons that watered haunting memories,
Out of my soiled past and muddied reputation,
A spud birthed clarity in acts of randomness,
For the first time since childhood I bathed in relations,
Sunsets over beaches and conversations over ice,
Poetry and song danced as we waved goodbye to fading light,
Coming to terms with mistakes that I can't make right,
Or emptiness that isn't meant to refill,
And that redefined my meaning of "chill"
So I left,
And next I found myself taking
Step upon step,
Looking for signs but no matter the turn,
headed in the right direction,
Earned the sun burn,
No rest when you champion sweat,
I hiked,
but the one thing I didn't do is tell a lie,
Even if I failed I tried and my success is in the why,
the best part was, it was just because...
And because I could, I decided to drive,
Capable to want to experience everything in life,
As I descended from Cali through the Mojave Desert,
The sunset on my left through mountains shaped like succulent breast,
put in perspective all of my suffrage
And I must confess,
a Bronx nigga that talks way too much,
even to himself,
Finally lost his breath...
