Youth
By Matt Bruce
In her eyes the look of youth,
So much promise and future ahead,
I speak these to her, the words of truth
Wishing her well on the journey,
That she finds time for what moves her,
No matter what is afforded,
That no ones words ever make her lose her,
Stay strong in the face of despair,
Always wonder what is out there,
The world is yours to grab,
If you keep your heart and soul,
Don’t fear the life of disrepair,
Never wonder what is hiding there,
If you remember who you are,
You’ll always be able to stay in control,
In this closing breath,
I wish you happiness and relief,
That when life is overwhelming,
You can smile at what is underneath,
Because the world is a shitty place,
On the outside beams,
Yet you can conquer the madness,
If you live your dreams…
I was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia
My education started after I left school.
I have never showcased my work beyond sharing with a couple friends when the mood strikes.
