Shadow Of Desire

By Matt Bruce

Abuse my intentions, turn me under your deceit,
Entrapment of the heart, I turn to my defeat,

Never more than a pawn, a figure of your content,
The precision of the incision, shakes of a truth void of consent,

Nothing more than a shadow, a proponent of my own desire,
Maliciously you must view me, an opponent of your empire,

Define by dominion of error, choked of life left to drain,
Slipping away from the bliss, no hopefully reality left to entertain,

Soulless masses contrive to contain their own will defection,
Shudder me now, defining yourself by the weight of my exception,

You don’t want me,
You don’t want me
No return for the cause,

You won’t hear me,
You won’t hear me,
Hence mother earth bereave your flaws,

Here in my brain to try,
Left in this reign to die,

Karma is a return”…

I was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia
My education started after I left school.
I have never showcased my work beyond sharing with a couple friends when the mood strikes.
