(like I mentioned above , I'm not trying to hate on 13 or any of the cast) I'm just wondering how the BBC/cast/Chibnall seem to ignore the MOUNTAINS of hate coming their way , both by people in the fandom and by critics. The BBC are obviously going to stand by the writer in this regard and allow them to complete their vision. At the moment it seems that there are trolls , people who still watch , people who stopped and people who hate the show rn. They show adverts, and they make their money by selling advertising with the promise that X number of people will see it. Now Capaldi's run is heralded as peak Doctor Who by this sub. This week, the rumour mill started to fire up again. It is quite possible that a greater number of people watched Series 12 than Series 4 for example. Let me put it this way. It's worth keeping in mind that RTD and Moffat drew a pretty similar amount of fire from angry fans during their runs. There was a considerable dip in S12 at one point, but definitely not one that warrants firing Chibnall. Sometimes fans need to step back and take a real look at what goes into such a great show. 3.
