The boots were in okay shape, but of the three pairs I tried and the one my husband tried, ALL were dull--(we own our own skates, but are from out of town and did not bring them on this trip). For people that are saying they have terrible costumer service, they are wrong, they have a very nice middle aged man and a young women, but I will say there is one teenager at the rental skate area that seriously looks like he hates his job, but other than that they have very nice services.Most people would say this place is run down, but you should know that most rinks tend to be like this, so don't expect anything too fancy. There is nothing really spectacular about this place but it is a great date spot and good night out. Ice skating is not a common activity for me so this made getting going that much more difficult! My kids played many hockey games here. Highland ice arena is the best rink I have been too, this is definitely a step up from the Seattle center winter fest rink that has terribly rough ice and low quality skates.My daughter has been taking lessons from the wonderful coaches for almost a year and she has improved immensely.
