The Office of Institutional Research and Planning's mission is to produce high quality information and analyses in a timely way to support university strategic planning and decision making.

Our investment in research and commitment to the investigative process has led to many breakthroughs and innovative discoveries. As the needs of Ohio State researchers change throughout the course of a project, we will update the Technology Control Plan to accurately reflect how we are managing and protecting the controlled items or technology/technical data.

Industry Liaison Office

OSR works with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), the Corporate Engagement Office – Technology Commercialization (CEOTC), the Office of International Affairs (OIA), colleges, centers and others throughout Ohio State to ensure that agreements meet the legal definition of Fundamental Research whenever possible. The Ohio State Office of Research offers comprehensive training and education programs to meet the research needs of key personnel (faculty, staff, post docs, students) involved in the conduct of research at Ohio State.
