The club stages a diverse range of productions every term, many of them at the fully equipped ADC Theatre in Park Street, where they are the resident company.
Founded in 1855, the Amateur Dramatic Club (or ADC) is the oldest university dramatic society in England – and the largest dramatic society in Cambridge.. We provide books for all areas of the market, including university libraries, scholars, students, and theatre enthusiasts. Our publishing encompasses theatre history, performance theory and studies, Shakespeare, ethnomusicology, theatre and drama by region and country and popular theatre. Situated in the heart of the historic university city of Cambridge, the Corn Exchange is an impressive example of Victorian architecture, combined with 21st Century technology. They have a wide range of shows on from Children's plays, Classical, Comedy, Live music and many more. We aim to provide opportunities to experience and learn about all aspects of theatre, while presenting professional standard productions. The Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club and ADC theatre showcase the best of student theatre and provide opportunities to get involved in shows you can be proud off. The ADC Theatre is the centre of University drama in Cambridge, run almost entirely by students with no Faculty involvement. Alongside the university buildings fascinating museums, atmospheric pubs, fine dining, incredible street food, theatres and ancient colleges all jostling together in the city centre, the beautiful riverside and open green spaces of Cambridge offer peaceful places to relax. We put on at least one show each term at the ADC Theatre and other venues, as well as regular bar nights, workshops and theatre trips!
